Abstract

Due to a limited amount of time and a diversity of topics, History as a school subject mostly neglects the concerns of archaeology. That is why different slots within the school´s scheme of organisation need to be taken into consideration in order to create opportunities for conveying archaeological content and interest. Thus, this article introduces a concept of voluntary archaeological clubs for different age groups. Furthermore, suggestions for the integration of archaeology into the morning lessons are made by examining the potential of Wahlpflichtkurse for the Mittelstufe and the Seminarfach for the Oberstufe.
