Abstract

The conference NEUES SEHEN. Aktuelle Ansätze der Digitalen Archäologie in der Objektund Bildwissenschaft (NEUES SEHEN. Current approaches to object and image studies in digital archaeology), held at the University of Trier, 20.–22.05.2022, explored the potential of digital tools and methods applied to archaeological objects and imagery. This second part is devoted to the potential and challenges of 3D modelling (session 2) as a tool for archaeological reconstruction in research and teaching as well as to its visualization and presentation to the public, e.g. in museums or on heritage sites.
