Abstract

Below you will find the introduction to my first and so far only paper collection of interviews, Uncanny Networks, Dialogues with the Virtual Intelligentsia, which came out with MIT Press in 2002 after Pluto Press Australia didn't do anything with the manuscript for a long period of time. I wrote the self-interview in Amsterdam in July 2000 while waiting for my Australian migration visa to come through in The Hague.
